Title and Deed is a provocative new work by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Horton Foote Prize winner Will Eno, whom The New York Times called “a Samuel Beckett for the Jon Stewart generation.”

Gare St Lazare Ireland return to Rubicon with Title and Deed by award-winning New York playwright Will Eno whose play The Realistic Joneses is currently on Broadway. Will Eno is an award-winning playwright and he is currently a Residency Five playwright at Signature Theatre New York, where his play The Open House just won a Lucille Lortel Award for Best New Play Off-Broadway.

Conor Lovett is no stranger to Rubicon audiences having performed Samuel Beckett's Molloy, The Good Thief by Conor McPherson and his adaptation with director Judy Hegarty Lovett of Moby Dick. In Title and Deed Conor plays a man who has just arrived and wants to tell you about his homeland. His journey, and his encounters, remind us of our own in this lyrical celebration of life, language, endless (if empty) hope and our perennial search for home.

Eno has crafted a powerful experience with a character whose word play and charm may answer almost as many questions as he asks. In a world where fewer and fewer people can claim to be 'from here' this play searches for the possibility of connection.

Gare St Lazare have produced 17 Beckett titles and have toured to over 80 cities in 25 countries. They are internationally regarded among the foremost interpreters of the work of Samuel Beckett and they have performed at Rubicon six times since The 2004 Beckett Fest.

Signature Theatre Company have just celebrated 21 years with their new home on 42nd St in New York. Designed by Frank Gehry their three theatre, Pershing Square Signature Theatre Centre is where they celebrate the playwright and their mission is to support new, mid-career and senior American playwrights. They will be the recipient of the 2014 Regional Theatre Tony Award.
